Project: Covid-19 Strategic Research and Response Advisory Committee

Role: Government support facilitation and iwi (tribe) engagement strategist.

Client: Te Whanau a Apanui ki Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland)

 

A Covid Response Korero (Story) -

As a response to the Covid - 19 lockdown in Aotearoa (New Zealand), in March 2020 a committed group of driven humans gathered together over zoom to support Te Whanau a Apanui whānau family) based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Over 10 weeks we outlined strategies and responses to the the emerging needs of the iwi (tribe). Together, we allocated networks and teams for intended support parcel deliveries. As a collective we designed the production and distribution of digital and print-based communications to hapū (sub-tribe) and whānau (family). At the core of our response was whanaungatanga (belonging), manaakitanga (hospitality), and kōtahitanga (unity).

Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi.
